From the grand cathedrals and elegant streets
of Paris to the medieval towns of the south,
travelling through France was a sensory overload experience, from the incredible architecture and landscape to the food, wine and history. "Le Soir" is inspired by Hotel Restaurant La Couleuvrine in the medieval town of Sarlat. Part of a 13th century hall, the dining room is built of the buttery gold stone of the area and graced with an imposing fireplace. A "Couleuvrine" (a sort of early musket) sits on the mantel, a symbol of the defensive history of the site. Rich tapestries and chandeliers are an invitation into a warm atmosphere rich in texture and story.
